CG Spectrum is thrilled to announce the launch of the GameChanger Academy, supported by the Victorian Government through VicScreen, to improve educational pathways within the animation, VFX and digital games sectors.
The academy will offer a range of post-graduate courses and scholarships in partnership with leading Victorian studios to meet the demand for skilled graduates. Key programs include the Good to Great initiative for immediate workforce readiness, the Elevate program for upskilling current professionals, and over $500K of scholarships in CG Spectrum's accredited Bachelor's Degree programs.
In collaboration with industry leaders, the academy aims to create a dynamic learning ecosystem that prepares the next generation of industry leaders while enhancing the skills of existing professionals.

Good to Great
Good to Great is an intensive industry-readiness program developed to prepare recent graduates, entry-level trainees, and junior talent for the demands of the film and games industry.
Students will be required to work under real-world studio conditions, adhering to professional schedules and engaging in critical processes such as rounds, dailies, client briefs, and feedback sessions—key elements of the daily operations within top studios.
Good to Great

Elevate is a micro-credential program designed to equip current film and games professionals with technical and management upskilling and cross-skilling opportunities for career growth in the industry.
These courses will be available online and in-person in a studio-style classroom. Technical courses will focus on industry-standard software, while leadership courses cover areas like client management, budgeting, and marketing.

This intensive program runs five days a week, simulating the workflow of an actual studio environment. Participants work under real-world conditions, adhering to professional schedules, and engage in critical processes such as rounds, dailies, client briefs, and feedback sessions—key elements of the daily operations within top studios.
Mentored by experienced professionals, students are given the opportunity to tackle real or simulated production projects that mirror the challenges faced in the industry. Through hands-on experience, participants will refine their technical skills and learn how to navigate deadlines, collaborate effectively, and meet client expectations. The program’s structure is designed to foster a deep understanding of studio dynamics, equipping students with the skills, discipline, and confidence necessary to succeed in high-pressure, creative environments.
