Balancing an enthusiasm for creative pursuits with an aptitude for all things tech, Roland started out as a Software Engineer but soon fell into CG after a scholarship at Vancouver Film School's 3D Animation program changed the trajectory of his career.
As a professional Animator, Roland worked his way across the globe, starting with small animation studios before getting snapped up by Weta Digital, where he had the honour of working on internationally regarded, and highly awarded feature films for nearly a decade.
His long list of credits includes Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes, The Hobbit Trilogy, Iron Man 3, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Furious 7, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, War for the Planet of the Apes, Justice League, and Avengers: Infinity War... to name just a few.
